Code of Ethics
Purpose of the WSO Code of Ethics
The Code of Ethics is a tool for preserving the WSO values and integrity over time. It provides a set of positive principles and standards of conduct that WSO has voluntarily chosen to adopt and make public as a tangible expression of its intentions towards the subjects with whom it comes into contact.
The Code of Ethics is a touchstone for everyday work. Every action performed and every relationship established, whether between people or towards the outside world, has a positive or negative effect on the organization. Professional integrity, honesty and the honouring of commitments lay the groundwork for trust. Breach of these values, recognised by the community and by the market as unfair actions, can cause damage that is difficult to redress. Damage can take various forms and it can affect the company’s image, its reputation and its credibility.
At the heart of the World Spa Organization beats a code of ethics,
driving our mission to enhance wellness globally.

Enquiries and Reporting
The principles and behavior outlined in WSO’s ethical code serve as a broad reference framework. However, the complexities of everyday work environments may lead to questions about interpreting these principles and determining the appropriate conduct for various situations. Therefore, WSO offers stakeholders multiple channels for direct communication with individuals who can provide clarification and guidance on the code’s application. These same communication channels also receive reports of breaches of the code’s principles. It is crucial for WSO that any conduct contrary to the ethical code is reported. Any member of the WSO community can seek advice and recommendations regarding the application of the Code of Ethics or report potential violations of the Code of Ethics for investigation.
